you would be surprised how strong and mean sheep can be. especially the rams! those horns. when a full-grown ram gets a decent running start and WHAMs into you with that head and those horns... there is enough force there to BREAK YOUR FEMUR with one charge. then there's the hooves! if one sheep attacks and manages to get you off your feet, several others will charge at you in a group and stomp all over you

plus, they stink like MAD! imagine 20 large 100% wool sweaters tied around each other till they're in a big ball. soak that in lanolin till not even a torrential rain will get the center wet. then roll that ball around in some twigs, dirt, mud, feces, and urine. after that, let that ball ferment outside for oh... six months or so... then you'll have an idea what a single sheep smells like. now, multiply that by oh, 10 or more sheep. :>

Yes, they are not to be underestimated... However, when I think of farm animals, nothing scares me as much as cows and bulls. It happened to me TWICE that they charged at me and came crashing through a fence with no provocation from my side. Heck, I was about 50m away from the cow when it decided to target me!
